Karen took on the task of selling our townhouse just as the market was slowing down.  It was a scary and difficult time to be selling your house.  We had friends with nice homes who had been trying to sell, but they were getting few showings, no offers, ridiculous low ball offers, or the good offers they did get fell through because the buyers were denied financing under the new mortgage rules.  Karen helped us navigate this difficult market and, hooray, we succeeded in selling our house (although for less than we originally wanted…that’s the market now.)   Karen got us lots of showings, while some of our friends were getting no showings on their homes.  Of course, we did our part in keeping the house looking nice which is hard when you’re living in it.  Sometimes the showings we’re on short notice, but in this market, you have to take what you can get.  It was a team effort between us and Karen.  Everyone said our house was beautiful, but they weren’t making offers!  It was frustrating.  Karen was very diligent and active in coming to the house, doing the showings, and marketing it.  Karen had a nice touch in staging the house in a great style while we continued to live there. Karen is all over this neighbourhood getting the inside scoop on who the buyers are.  Our area (Champlain Heights) has leasehold land and Karen is absolutely the expert in handling these unique properties.  We feel like we made the right decision choosing Karen to sell our home.  She is a real professional realtor.
